We use imagery that is free of watermarks and properly licensed. Here’s where it comes from.
Product images
- Amazon Product Advertising API — official product images, provided for use by Amazon Associates. This is our primary source for product shots. See
scripts/amazon_images.pyin the site repository. - Manufacturer press & spec pages — official product photography provided by brands for editorial use.
Lifestyle imagery
- Unsplash and similar royalty-free libraries — licensed for commercial use without attribution requirements.
A note on watermarks
We never publish watermarked images, and we do not remove watermarks from images. Removing a watermark strips attribution and circumvents copyright protection, which is both legally risky and against our editorial policy. Instead, we source images that are already watermark-free and properly licensed from the outset.
